Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt came to the theater

  Few days away from the U.S. release of "Salt", Columbia Pictures has held the premiere for the film at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, July 19.

Stealing the spotlight at the black carpet event was Angelina Jolie who came with her longtime lover Brad Pitt. The couple who once teamed up in "Mr and Mrs Smith" looked matching in their dark ensemble with Jolie wearing a strapless Emporio Armani mini-dress and Pitt donning three-piece Tom Ford suit.

The depicter of Evelyn Salt in the action movie finished off her look with Ferragamo shoes, an Asprey bracelet and earrings. Another "Salt" star, Liev Schreiber, also took his spouse, Naomi Watts, to join the glamorous event. He was later sandwiched between Jolie and his wife when posing for cameras.

They were additionally joined by other cast members, Hunt Block and Olya Zueva, helmer Phillip Noyce and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

Actors Jon Voight and James Haven who are none other than Jolie's father and brother respectively came in support for the special screening. Moreover, the likes of Kristin Cavallari and Amber Heard were seen among the celebrity guests.

"Salt" revolves around CIA officer Evelyn Salt who is accused of being a Russian sleeper spy who is on a mission to kill the president in Manhattan, forcing her to go on the run.

Using her covert operative skills and experience, she tries to elude capture and protect her husband or the world's most powerful forces will erase any trace of her existence. This thriller is set for July 23 release in the U.S.
