Federal officials have accused Larry Wicox, the star of the 70s hit TV show “CHiPs”, with Securities Fraud. Larry Wicox, 68, of West Hills, California played Officer Jon Baker as California highway officer on “CHiPs.”
Larry Wicox is the head of a mining and drilling startup called UC Hub Group.
“Wilcox paid a kickback to the trustee for the purchase of 800,000 restricted shares of UC Hub,” the federal complaint said. “Larry Wicox agreed to pay another kickback for a second purchase of 800,000 restricted shares.”
Larry Wicox left “CHiPs” in 1982 to focus on other projects. Larry Wicox remarried in 1980.
Former "CHiPs" star Larry Wilcox has been accused of securities fraud, though he may have been working for the FBI all along. Wilcox, 63, allegedly manipulated the volume and price of penny stocks to illegally generate stock sales.
The scheme, exposed by an undercover FBI agent, was allegedly to generate the appearance of market interest in his company, The UC Hub Group, and induce public purchase of his stock which will rapidly increase his stock's trading price.
But Larry Wicox may have worked as an FBI undercover informant against his co-defendants
